Welcome from Ms. Monica Des Jarlais

Welcome to Saint Frances Cabrini School where we embody a comprehensive, rigorous, holistic approach to Catholic education. Ours is a balanced program that is distinguished by our Catholic tradition and our meeting or exceeding of the standards considered essential for quality education.

We are a school that believes each child should live up to his potential by doing his best. We are a faith-based school where Jesus calls us to action to be people of integrity and global citizens. Schoolwide Learning Expectations frame who we are in relationship to 21st Century teaching with a foundation in best practices. Our goal is to provide a quality, faith-centered education which challenges, inspires and motivates each one to be an active disciple of Christ, a lifelong learner and a respectful responsible citizen.

We seek to create a positive learning environment and welcoming family atmosphere where parents are honored as primary educators. While we are a private school, we are accessible and affordable in order to provide an opportunity for all children to receive an education that develops the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Our private Catholic education is open to all faiths.

I’d like to share a little bit about myself. I am from a fourth-generation Portuguese born in Hawaii. I served Hawaii Catholic School for 28 years as a teacher, vice principal and principal. I moved to the continental United States and have served Catholic schools in Georgia, Maryland, California, and recently moved from Bellingham, WA. I have two adult daughters and 3 beautiful granddaughters.

I have firm roots in God and family. I am so excited to be a part of the Saint Frances Cabrini Community.

Aloha and God Bless

"My daughter has only been in school here for two weeks. In this short time, however, she has already displayed some signs of Christian growth.  The questions she asks about life and death are probing and complex.  As parents these questions enhance our Christian growth, as well."
"By attending St. Frances Cabrini School, my child will gain the continuation of respect, tolerance, self discipline and the caring for others."
"The school's greatest strengths are many, but discipline and keeping parents informed of student progress seem to stand out."
"The school gives great attention to the needs of its students, plus it is relatively small. The school has high standards of achievement."
