Welcome to St. Frances Cabrini School Extended Care

Welcome to the St. Frances Cabrini School Extended Care Program where high quality after-school care is available for the children enrolled in our school. The Extended Care Program was founded to provide children a loving, nurturing, and Christian-based after-school environment that is both stimulating and enjoyable. Our staff reinforces the high values of St. Frances Cabrini School and imparts these through example, respectful discipline, and enrichment activities.

Availability

Extended Care is available for St. Frances Cabrini School students in grades PreK-8. The hours are:

     6:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. for PreK-8

     8:30a.m.-12:15pm for PM session of PreK

     11:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for AM session of PreK

     3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for PreK-8

Extended Care begins on the first day of school and ends at dismissal time on the last day of school. It is not open on days when school is not in session. We limit the size of our groups, and therefore, if we have more applications than spaces available, placement will be on a first come, first served basis.

Overview

The Extended Care Program follows the philosophy, mission, rules, and regulations stated in the St. Frances Cabrini School Parent-Teacher-Student Handbook. As members of a Christian and caring community, the children are expected to respect the staff, each other, and the materials and environment provided.

The Extended Care Program strives to provide quality care in a safe, enjoyable atmosphere with a variety of activities such as vigorous play, art, homework time, and indoor games. Our students spend their time being active and busy.

Time is set aside each day for students to do homework in a quiet setting. Outdoor play, weather permitting, is essential to our program. Creative activities are also important. Arts and crafts are often seasonal – Christmas crafts in December, Valentines in February, and so forth. With all that activity we realize children get hungry, so we offer a nutritious snack each day. We make every effort to offer a well-rounded program and strive to make each child’s stay enjoyable while in Extended Care.

Fees

Fees are set at the beginning of each year, are a per child rate, and depend on how many days and hours a child attends.
