School Family Commitments

Your work with the auction and raffle helps keep your tuition costs down!  Last year's auction and raffle brought in over $325 per student that you did not have to pay in tuition.

The financial commitment you made at the time of  registration is to work a minimum of five hours on an auction/raffle committee and meet a total of $250 per family commitment. You may do this by any combination of the following:

  • buying/selling raffle tickets
  • donating new auction items/services
  • procuring new auction items/services

The Development Office is Auction Central and the place to go if you have any questions on how to fulfill your commitment.  Just call Joanne or Kathy at (253) 584-5748 or e-mail us at: sfc@cabrinischool.org.  We love to talk about auction and raffle.

Procurement

All kinds of items and services are donated to the auction - just look around and think of things you would like to buy. Those would make great donations.  Another way is to think of services you could offer - weeding, card making, baking, cooking, crafts. The list is endless.  Our only limitations are that items must be new and items/services should be worth at least $25.00.

Places you do business with are often a great source for procurement. They want to donate so that they can thank you; they also get the benefit of recognition in the auction catalog. Don't be afraid to ask, they may say yes.

If you wish to procure from a business, please check with the Development Office before contacting the business.  We want to avoid "double-dipping" with a business.

If a business does not wish to donate an item, they may be interested in becoming a sponsor or advertiser.  If you wish to approach someone about Sponsorship or advertising, please contact the Development Office at (253)584-5748 or sfc@cabrinischool.org.

For tips on procurement and other auction raffle items check out this year's Auction/Raffle Handbook in the Parent Place.

Family procurements to meet your financial commitment are due by Friday, January 13, 2012.  Procurement booklet, forms, and letters are available by clicking here or by calling the Development Office at (253)584-5748.

Auction 1

Raffle

Raffle tickets will go out in the family envelopes on October 26, 2012.

There are many places to sell them - to friends, relatives, co workers, yourself. The $1,000 top prize is a great motivation to buy a ticket or two or three or more. The second place prize is $500, third place $250, and 4th, 5th, and 6th are $100 each.

If you run out of tickets to sell, we always have more.  Just call the Development Office at 253-584-5748.  Remember - if you don't buy a ticket, you can't win.
